Stand for common sense over extreme agendas
People are fed up with politics—and I don’t blame them, because I am too. I am not a career politician. I’m an outsider who can’t be controlled by special interests. I stand for common sense solutions over extreme agendas.
When I was appointed to the State Senate, I saw firsthand how Springfield politicians are focused on extreme agendas instead of helping working families.
I put forward a bipartisan bill that would hold individuals criminally responsible for filming our children in a public bathroom. This seems like common sense to me. Yet special interests used all their power to block my bill from even getting a vote. Even when I talked to these special interests to try to find common ground so we could protect children, they refused to collaborate.
This is why so many everyday Illinoisans are fed up with Springfield. It’s time we stopped playing political games and focused on doing the right thing for our families and our communities.
I’m ready to take on the special interests and put people over politics. Even with this opposition, in just a few months I’ve already been able to pass commonsense legislation, help make bills better, and help stop bad bills that would hurt working families.
I promise to continue to stand on the side of common sense. This means making sure your family can afford to thrive, not just survive. This means supporting our small businesses and bringing good-paying jobs to our communities. This means keeping your family and neighborhood safe. This means protecting local control, and parental control, over education.
This is where we live, where we raise our families, where we work, and where we play. I will never stop fighting for our home and our community.
